A Walking Goal
A friend of mine mentioned that he had set a goal for himself to walk 600 miles in 2022.
My initial thought was - WOW that's a lot of walking. But then as we were talking, I dug in a little bit. 600 miles in a year is 50 miles a month. 50 miles a month is 12.5 miles a week or just under 2 miles a day. Since its about 2000 steps in a mile for most folks, that's just 4,00 steps in a day.
Anyone who tracks their steps with a Fitbit or their phone knows that 4,000 steps is not all that hard to do, if you get out a walk a little bit. 20-30 minutes a day will get you close to that number all by itself. Funny, that a seemingly big number can be broken down into fairly manageable steps (pun intended, groans accepted). What's your walking goal for 2022? Come discuss with us in
