We should have a big warm up coming this week with our temps in the mid 80's by Wednesday and in the 90's on Thursday and Friday before returning to the 70's for the weekend. Enjoy the warm up. I'm sure our plants and trees will take the heat as a sign to explode their growth.

Sweeping This Monday and Tuesday...

With our flipping the calendar into April, we are back to our more normal sweeping schedule this week. On Monday, the odd side of the street will be swept and on Tuesday the even side will be swept. Please ensure your vehicles and waste carts are not blocking the sweeper as it comes down your street. We thank you and so does our environment.

Never underestimate the importance and support of volunteers. Again, sharing with you another of Rossmoor's best kept secrets - Our Elementary School PTA volunteers. All of them are exemplary.

Additionally, today we share our congratulations to the Richard Henry Lee Elementary School PTA for being recognized and awarded with the 4th District PTA Outstanding Unit Award - Leopard PTA in the news! The RHA is proud and honored to be part of the Fami-Lee.

OCFA Girls Empowerment Camp

Do you know someone who may be interested in attending the 2022 OCFA Girls Empowerment Camp?

The Girls Empowerment Camp is a free 2-day camp open to teens ages 14 to 18. The camp introduces teens to the fire service by providing a realistic hands-on overview of firefighting and all aspects of public safety.

More importantly, the Girls Empowerment Camp provides campers with valuable life skills that will serve as a foundation in their future careers and encourages them to pursue a career in public safety. The camp is scheduled for Saturday May 14 and Sunday, May 15 from 8:00 to 4:00 each day. Registration opens on April 1, 2022.

Nominations for the 2022-2024 RHA Board of Director elections are now open. Please complete the short application to let us know if you are interested in joining the RHA Board for a two year term starting July1st. Nomination deadline is April 7th. Our Nominating Committee (Jo Shade, Pei-Pei Kelman & Kevin Pearce) will contact you and verify you are eligible to be included on this year's ballot.

The final ballot will be presented at our April 19th meeting and if there are more qualified nominations than available seats (6 this year), ballots will be mailed to the membership by mid-May with the elections results presented at our June 21st meeting.
