Hi
This week it looks like we will be warming up into the lower 80's. More sun and a bit more heat. Still nice weather to get out and enjoy our beautiful neighborhood.
What a Parade!
The 2022 RHA Rossmoor Graduation Parade was amazing. We had more than 200 vehicles and 850 participants (yes fewer vehicles than last year and more participants) on the procession and hundreds of friends and neighbors lined the streets along the parade route. While there were a few unplanned detours along the way, the feedback from the (soon-to-be) graduates was amazing.
Our Grand Marshall was Rossmoor's very own Georglyn Seligman who has done so much for Rossmoor in her more than 50 years of residency here. Among the many organizations and people she has served, she has worked for decades with Rossmoor Scout Troop 658, the Rossmoor Women's Club, and of course ahs been a long standing Director for the RHA.
Thanks to everyone who helped the RHA make the 2022 Rossmoor Graduation Parade a success. We especially want to thank Southland Credit Union, Laird Real Estate, the County Board of Supervisors, and our neighbors and participants who contributed to the event for making it financially possible.
And no event of this size happens without our volunteers. The group led by Jo Shade, Marian Last, and Art Remnet included Renee Schwartz, Frank Facey, Gary Stewart, Kelly Laird Smith, Rachael DeMarco, Jody Roubanis, and a host of other critical players that made the day so special for our graduates.
It truly does take a big community team. Thank you all!
Here are the photos we have received so far from the event. If you have some photos or videos that you've not shared, please upload them here.
Looking ahead, we have a busy week ahead here in Rossmoor: Let's take a quick look at what's coming up:
Street Sweeping
Monday and Tuesday are sweeping days this week. On Monday the odd sides of the streets will be swept and on Tuesday the even sides will be swept. It's important to move your vehicles and trash carts from the curb that's being swept so we can keep at least some of the dirt and pollutants our of our ocean. Please clear the odd side of the street on Monday and the even side on Tuesday. Thanks.
Farmers Market & Family Festival
We have the weekly Farmers Market on Thursday from 4 to 7 at Rush Park. Then on Saturday at Rush, the first Family Festival of the year is taking pace from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The featured band this month is "Stone Soul" and as usual the festival will have vendor and game booths, rides, and yummy food trucks. Come visit us in the RHA booth and say "HI!" when you come out for a picnic or to enjoy the
festivities.
And later in the month we have our Rossmoor Red Cross Blood Drive
