Keep Rossmoor Safe - Slow your roll to 25 MPH
Hi
After a hot day today, we should settle back into the lower 80s for the majority of the week and then into the very nice upper 70s for the holiday weekend.
And an early save the date for the 2022 Heroes Appreciation Luncheon co-hosted by the Los Alamitos Chamberand the RCSD on Thursday September 22nd. The lunch will be held at the Rush Community Center from 11:30 until 1:00.
Pets & The July 4th Holiday Weekend
We can't start the reminders about the holidays soon enough. In addition to pets, some people are sensitive to the noises associated with Independence Day fireworks, so we wanted to alert you to what to expect in and around Rossmoor.
While fireworks can be purchased in some of our neighboring communities, they cannot be legally set off in our Rossmoor.
The good news is that we do not have to go far from home to enjoy them - if that is how you celebrate. Just a friendly reminder to be a good neighbor and please do not light personal fireworks in Rossmoor.
Please note, almost every year, there are comments about the Independence Day Celebration that Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach hosts, prior to the 4th of July. Many are unaware that is a legally permitted display, put on by the Country Club for its members.
Please plan accordingly, if noise is an issue for you. Their fireworks, starting around dusk on Friday July 1st, will run for approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
As of today, June 26th, we have moved into Stage 2 of the California Mandatory Water Conservation & Rationing plan. There's more information here on our site but here's a summary of what this means:
We are adding water conservation resources and tools to our Rossmoor Water Story page. Lear about where our water comes from and some tips on tracking your conservation efforts.
