Our upper 80s weather looks like it will be here for the next week, at least. Walking through the neighborhood, the buzz of central air-conditioning units abounds. It's also a bit unseasonably humid for our area, making the heat more intense and sticky. Stay hydrated and avoid the heat of the day if you are able.

Who Are Our Representatives? 

With the November elections starting to warm up and the recent redistricting that went into place, there is a lot of conversation about who are our representatives and which districts represent Rossmoor. 

The RHA will be holding our Meet Your Candidates Night this year on Thursday, September 29th (save the date) in the Rush Park Auditorium. We will have more details as we get closer to the date, but please start thinking about any candidate questions you'd like us to consider. 

We will be inviting candidates for the 45th US Congressional District, 36th State Senate District, 70th State Assembly District, Los Alamitos Unified School District Trustee Area 3, and the Rossmoor Community Services District to attend. 

Because of the redistricting, most of the seats do not have an incumbent running for re-election. At this time, only LAUSD Trustee Diana Hill and RCSD Director Jeffrey Rips are running for re-election.

Come Celebrate Georglyn Seligman

On Saturday, August 13th the RCSD is hosting our last Family Festival for the summer at Rush Park. At about 6:00 p.m. the Rossmoor community will be honoring the decades of love and service Georglyn Seligman has given to Rossmoor. Earlier this year, the RCSD planted a tree at Rush Park in her honor, she was the Grand Dame of the Rossmoor Graduation Parade, and the RHA honored her as the first Lifetime Emeritus member of the Association. 

On Saturday evening (8/13), will be our community's opportunity to thank Georglyn and appreciate her for all she has done for our community.

Please join us a little before 6:00 on Saturday evening at the Rush Park Family Festival to this salute a true Rossmoor legend and community hero. 

Did you know that the Rossmoor Community Services District  provides a free much program for Rossmoor? 

It's true! 

It's just one of the many services the District provides for Rossmoor. On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 9:00 to 11:00 at Kempton Park (the corner of Sliver Fox & Kempton), you can load up with mulch for your yard. Here are some tips on mulching and for picking up mulch from Kempton Park.
