Our Turkey Day forecast still has us in the low 80s before we cool off by the end of the weekend.

Remember to shop local whenever you can. Our local economy can use the boost and many of your neighbors benefit from your dollars being spent close to home.

This may not be the last time we say Happy Thanksgiving to you, but can you really be too happy on Thanksgiving? We all have so much to be grateful for, especially when you consider how great our neighborhood and our schools are. Enjoy your day of giving thanks with family and friends.

Crime Prevention Meeting

On Tuesday, November 29th the Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) is holding a crime prevention and awareness meeting at the Rush Park Auditorium. Crime Prevention Specialist Sarah Shirvany will lead the discussion and plans to cover ways to minimize the chance of becoming a crime victim, crimes of opportunity, and reporting on suspicious activity. We especially would like to invite our Neighborhood Block Captains to attend .

Rossmoor HUGS - Check In Before You Dine Out

Our community loves our schools. It's why many of us moved to Rossmoor in the first place. RHA Community Engagement has been working with the school PTAs in Rossmoor to build a one-stop place to find the details for all the current Dine-Out and other Fundraisers. We post the flyers on our website HUGS page to make it super easy to find.

If your family "belongs" to a school, by all means support your school - it's your school, right? You can get the flyer for the event on our page.

Anytime you or you and your family are going out to eat, Check In before you go. You may be able to support another school, while you enjoy you meal at places like Chipotle, Jersey Mike's, Mama's, CPK, Yogurtland, and the many other local businesses that help support our schools and programs with contributions.

For example, the Friends of Rossmoor School has Sees Candies boxes available until 12/2, to support the school's STEM programs. More info and the link to share is on our HUGS page.
