Hi
So our wet beginnings to 2023 continue. It appears that there will be a better than 50% chance of rain from mid-day tomorrow (Wednesday) all the way through later Thursday afternoon.
This means a couple of things. First, if
you already turned off/put in rain delay mode your home sprinkler system for a week as we suggest last week you can add another week to the delay. With the amount of rain we have and are projected to receive over the next couple of days, our yads are soaked and will take at least a week to dry out enough to need watering again. If you haven't turned off your sprinklers, why not do so now?
Second, the rain has forced the cancellation of our Rossmoor Farmers Market this
week. We will have to wait until next Thursday (1/12) to welcome our vendors back to Rossmoor.
Rossmoor Blood Drive: Jan 18th, 9:00-3:00 @ Rush
While it's a new year, the same need for blood exists. If you are able to donate, please sign up for this month's Rossmoor Red Cross Blood Drive.
It's on January 18th (the third Wednesday, just like every month) at Rush Park. They are open from 9:00 until 3:00 and while you can walk-in to donate, it's always helpful (and quicker) if you reserve your spot online first. This helps the Red Cross Team to better plan for the event. Come join us on 1/18/2023 and give the gift of
life.
Street Sweeping This Week: Wednesday ODD
Due to the New Year's Holiday tomorrow, Wednesday, the ODD addresses in Rossmoor will be swept. Rain or shine, the sweepers will be here to clean things up. Please plan to move your vehicles and waste carts from the street.
Especially over the next six weeks, with the heavy leave fall and more rain on the way, it's important to keep our streets clean. More on how you can help and the full 2023 sweeping schedule
here.
