It looks like we are in for another nice weather week ahead with temps in the mid- to upper-70's early in the week, dropping into the upper 60's and low 70's through next weekend when things should warm up a bit. Very nice time to get out and about in our Tree City urban forest. Enjoy!

It was a busy week heading into the Spring Break recess in our schools. This week’s Wrap-Up features highlights from the PTA Honorary Service Awards Breakfast, Tuesday night’s Board of Education Meeting, the California Distinguished Schools celebration luncheon at Weaver, Griffin News/Youth Center Recognition, LAHS Spring Launch, Coach Fenton’s Keynote at the Los Al Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Staff vs. Students Kickball game at Oak, March Madness at McAuliffe, and the LAE Wax Museum. Come Welcome Captain AJ Patella to Rossmoor

We are really happy to have Captain Patella back in Rossmoor!. He's no stranger here having been assigned to North Patrol and Rossmoor, while he was rising thru the ranks. Join us in welcoming him on Tuesday evening at 6:30 in the Rush Park Auditorium. The RCSD is hosting a met & greet for the community just before their regular monthly board of directors meeting. It's a great time to meet the Captain and ask any questions you may have. Following the meet & greet, during the RCSD meeting, the Captain will give the department's quarterly report for Rossmoor.

It’s easy to learn about selecting the best vegetable or piece of fruit from the store for mealtime preparations. Growing your own yard edibles (yes, fruits and vegetables) have a learning curve too, but it’s not as hard as it looks.

Why not start a garden now?

Start small with one or two different plants and start to learn the tricks to creating yard-to-table menu items. Personally, tomato plants are hardy and can survive (and even thrive) despite a lot of novice purple-thumb gardener’s inconsistencies.
