Hi
Â
This week looks like a beautiful week weather-wise. Highs in the low 60s (yeah, I know, it's kinda cold for some, but it beasts being snowed in for a week or more in our local mountains - yikes!) with mostly sunny days. It's a great time to get
outside and walk or ride...
Â
1st Moon Pie Ride!
Speaking of riding, Bike Rossmoor has put together a very cool event this Tuesday evening - A Moon Pie Ride. This ride is scheduled to take off on Tuesday March 7th at 7:00 p.m. at Rush Park for the full moon. It looks like most of the cloud cover will be gone by 6 so we should even be able to ride by the
light of the full moon. But ride where? Well Nia has thought of that and she's arranged with Polly's Pies to have some pie on your ride. Yes! For just $5 you'll get a slice of pie from Polly's before returning to Rush Park. How cool is that. Riders of all skill levels are welcome to join us for what we expect will become a very popular monthly event. Come join us Tuesday night!
Â
Street Sweeping This Week
Thank goodness the sweepers will be here on Monday and Tuesday this week. There are all sorts of debris in the streets from last week's storms. On Monday ODD addresses will be swept and on Tuesday EVEN addresses will be swept. Please park your vehicles
accordingly. There are even signs on most every block now to remind you where not to park, so if you get confused, go the the end of your block and check out the sign. If for some reason the sweeper does not come down your street, please let the RCSD know here so they can contact the sweeping company.Â
Â
Did you see this?
Rossmoor School is having a TV & Computer Recycling event tomorrow, Sunday, March 5th from 9:00 to 2:00 at,
wait for it, Rossmoor School! 😀
Â
Here's your chance to dispose of your old televisions and computers. Rossmoor Elementary School wins, too! Another great fundraiser that costs you NOTHING!
The Friends of Rossmoor is a parent-founded non-profit group that hosts things like this to raise funds for the enrichment of the educational program for all children of Rossmoor School. This is accomplished by providing funds for the salaries of
personnel needed to run programs, educational development of personnel, and purchasing the equipment needed to run the educational programs. Â Their primary purpose is to support programs that are fundamental to operating Rossmoor Elementary School, such as fully supporting their STEM Lab.
Casino Night - Friday, March 31st at 6:00pm in the Rush Park Auditorium. Tickets are on sale now at TheYouthCenter.org
If you haven't yet, it's time....
It's that time of year for us to remind you that it’s time to
renew your RHA Membership for 2023. A huge thank you to the hundreds of our neighbors who have joined for 2023 already. It makes a big difference to us that you support the RHA. Thank you!
