Hi
Today should be pretty nice as far as our weather goes. Tomorrow (Friday) it looks like we will get about a half inch of rain that should clear out for a nice weekend before the rain comes back in on Monday night and
Tuesday.
This afternoon while it's nice and clear is a great time to pop into our Rossmoor Farmers Market, get some fresh produce, talk with our terrific vendors, and maybe pick up some dinner while you're there.
Spring Ahead!
This Sunday we get to Spring Forward into Daylight Saving time. Just remember to set your clocks
forward an hour, unless all of your clock automatically do so. Then you just get to wake up an hour earlier that your body thinks it is on Sunday morning.
RCSD Hosting Housing Element Discussion
The RCSD will dedicate much of their Tuesday, March 14th Board of Directors meeting to discussing the County of Orange Housing Element and the
proposed changes to it that are now being reviewed by the state.
These are the housing element changes the RHA shared with Rossmoor back in 2021. The county did a public survey in March 2021, held pubic meetings in September 2021 and Supervisor Do's office helped get us some clarification from the County Planning staff about.
The RCSD has invited a representative from the County of Orange Planning Division to
present the changes as they relate to the southwest corner of Katella and Los Alamitos Blvd. This is the corner of Rossmoor that the Fish Company, Polly's, Lutheran Church, The Meat Company, and the Ascent Apartments are currently located.
There will be time for a public Q&A as well. The meeting starts early at 6:30. If you have specific questions about the County's Housing Element
changes, please submit them to the RCSD by emailing RCSD@Rossmoor-CSD.org by
Friday, March 10th for inclusion in the March 14, 2023 presentation at the RCSD Board Meeting.
