It looks like we are in for a mostly cloudy week ahead. It should rain most of Tuesday and into Wednesday morning, but then it appears there's only a limited chance of showers through the rest of the week. Highs will be in the lower 60's and our lows will be in the low 50s. Pick your times carefully to walk or cycle the streets of Rossmoor and you should be okay.

Welcome Captain Patella!

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department recently promoted AJ Patella to Captain and he will be taking over the North Patrol area, which includes Rossmoor.

The Rossmoor Homeowners Association wants to welcome Captain Patella and congratulate him on his new post. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with him and the department through our Neighborhood Watch program and any other initiatives to help keep Rossmoor the safe and enjoyable place to live that it is today.

RCSD Hosting Housing Element Discussion 

The RCSD will dedicate much of their Tuesday, March 14th Board of Directors meeting to discussing the County of Orange Housing Element and the proposed changes to it that are now being reviewed by the state. 

These are the housing element changes the RHA shared with Rossmoor back in 2021. The county did a public survey in March 2021, held public meetings in September 2021 and Supervisor Do's office helped get us some clarification from the County Planning staff about the changes.

The RCSD has invited a representative from the County of Orange Planning Division to present the changes as they relate to the southwest corner of Katella and Los Alamitos Blvd. This is the corner of Rossmoor that the Fish Company, Polly's, Lutheran Church, The Meat Company, and the Ascent Apartments are currently located. 

There will be time for a public Q&A as well. The meeting starts early at 6:30.
