Hi, As we head toward the end of June and the weekend before the 4th of July, it looks like we will be turning up the heat
dial just a little, pushing into the upper 70's for most of the next week. Still a very nice temperature for getting out and about, especially here in beautiful Rossmoor.

Los Al USD's 2023 Hero of the Heart -
RHA!! |
On June 13th the Los Alamitos Unified School District awarded the Rossmoor Homeowners Association (RHA) their annual Hero of the Heart Award. Los Al USD School Board President Chris Forehan presented the award to RHA President Art
Remnet and RHA Directors Nia Hartman and Marian Last looked on saying We have been incredibly fortunate to witness the profound impact of RHA's engagement and dedication to the educational well-being of our students and community. RHA's continuous support has played an integral role in assisting both our students and staff, and for that, we are immensely
grateful."
We are so honored to be recognized by our amazing school district for our efforts to support the District's students, staff, and faculty. The beautiful part is that our partnership with the schools in Rossmoor and the District as a whole is a living example of the "Unity in the CommUNITY" that the RHA strives for with every event
and activity we engage in.

Mosquito Awareness Week - Mosquitoes
Suck! |
This week is National Mosquito Control Awareness Week. Follow these few steps from the Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District to prevent mosquitoes this season: - TIP out standing water WEEKLY.
- TOSS any unneeded containers (remember just a
bottle cap can bred mosquitoes).
- TAKE ACTION by wearing repellent.
Invasive
Aedes mosquitoes lay their eggs in water sources as small as a bottle cap. Additionally, Aedes’ eggs can survive for years even if they dry up and will hatch when they come in contact with water again, so it is important to dump and drain all standing water. By acting now, you can help prevent mosquito breeding, take charge of your yards, and protect our community. Learn more at ocvector.org.
