On Saturday morning, the Quail Run Neighborhood Watch group held its first gathering since
2019.
The 25+ neighbors who attended the driveway gathering enjoyed some overdue socialization and met some new neighbors.
Block Captain Ken Yee hosted the event and invited residents from all 46 homes on Quail Run to attend. Ken coordinated the event with the OCSD's Ashely Sanchez who shared an overview of the department and how the neighborhood
can help them keep us all safe.

Deputy Justin and Captain AJ Patella emphasized that we are the eyes and ears of the department and we make their job easier and more effective when we call them when we see things that are "not right" - like people in the park after 10:00 p.m. or vehicles that look like
people are living in them.
The most important role we have is being aware.
If you hear breaking glass or smell something that's odd, call the Sheriff's Department and let them investigate. If you are going on a trip, let them know by requesting a vacation check. They will drive by and check on things while you're away. No, really they do.
After the short Q&A, the deputies and neighbors talked and got better acquainted. IT was a great way to kick-off July in Rossmoor. Another block is hosting a gathering later in July. When is your block getting
