Hi , Happy New Year! As we welcome 2024, let's take a quick pause and reflect on how great 2023 was for our community, schools,
students, and of course ourselves. Sure, there were individual and family challenges that we all faced. Heartbreak, sadness, and upset are all a part of our collective experience. And still, take a look at all the great things that occurred in 2023: we welcomed Captain AJ Patella, held our Class of 2023 Rossmoor Celebration Parade, had four great summer Rossmoor Family Festivals,
welcomed back our amazing teachers and school staff, and wrapped up the year with a terrific Season of Lights (Diwali, Hannukah, and Christmas) by celebrating the Lights of Rossmoor and the Rossmoor Winter Festival. Let's welcome in 2024, as the brand new year it is and look forward to experiencing all the very best it has to offer. Let's keep this focus as we move into the new
year. 2024 will be a great year for Rossmoor and our community! OC Public Works Traffic Improvement Survey Wei Zhu from OC Public Works has requested that we (everyone in Rossmoor) share our opinion on the proposed traffic improvements for the Montecito corridor. The survey is available here. There are additional details below and on our website. Note: that with the New Year's Holiday on Monday, waste collection will be delayed one day for everyone in Rossmoor this week and remember school is still out
next week, so there will be more kids out and about during the day. Be alert and drive safe. Enjoy your New Years! Weekend

Shout out to OCWR. Both for the post content and for their responsiveness. This is a great example. Read comments in the post's thread : reader question, response (asking clarification question) then re-response from
reader (adding clarification), followed by, very clear, concise, and helpful OCWR suggestions (both answering the question, and guiding readers on how community can reach out to them for better service.) Social Media Admins LOVE easy online conversations, because it's really hard to anticipate and please everyone. Yet, THIS is how it's
done, and why we in #OurRossmoor love OCWR
- they truly are OC Family. And don't forget about the compost RHA Community Engagement will be starting a feature on growing food in Urban
Gardens and DIY's on recycling our kitchen waste. - our yards are perfect for this! And we already have many residents who have discovered this healthy lifestyle change - hopefully some of them will come alongside (just a little) to help us --- because volunteering a little, helps --- A LOT. Watch for
our new Engage-News opt-in e-newsletters - our virtual space where ideas and friends come together, making great things happen in Our Rossmoor.
As we wind up Christmas, and tie a bow around 2023, here's the way we help CR&R manage the number of trees they collect, recycle, and mulch our holiday greenery. And as much as we all love Christmas
and our trees, remember that as trees dry, they become more flammable. Help protect your family and neighbors. Counting down to the New Year, 10....9....8....7....
Our Rossmoor. A great place to live since 1957
