Hey,
First off, it's Veterans Day and we need to pause for a moment to thank our Veterans. Yes, thank any Vet you see for their service to
us and our great country.
And, also be thankful for all the Vets that have served our county over the past 250 years. The men and women, the fathers and mothers, the sons and daughters, the uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. All of them. Be grateful. Take a moment to honor them.
It's because of their service we are here today and able to say Thank You.
It looks like our weather will push into the low 80's for today and tomorrow. Then it looks like we will get our first real rain event of the season by Wednesday. The rain, if it materializes, looks to be cleared out for next weekend. At least it won't interfere
with your plans for next weekend.
We have a great week ahead too. We have our annual Season of Lights Celebration continuing with Diwali, the Our Rossmoor Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, the OCSD Fentanyl Town Hall this upcoming Thursday at Rush, the CR&R Bulky Item Pick Up & Compost Pick Up is on Saturday (at Rush), and the annual Sees Candy
fundraiser is in full force for the next couple of weeks.
Season of Lights Celebration - Diwali
OurRossmoor continues to celebrate the Season of Light, as we gather to celebrate Diwali, also known as the
Festival of Lights, it’s a joyous occasion that holds deep cultural significance.
Originating from Hindu traditions, Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. Families come together to illuminate their homes with earthen lamps called diyas, creating a spectacular display of lights.
The festivities extend beyond just the visual splendor, encompassing the exchange of sweets, the creation of intricate rangoli art, and the sharing of joy with loved ones. Diwali is a time to reflect on the victory of positivity and the potential for new beginnings.
Regardless of cultural background, the spirit of Diwali invites everyone
to partake in the warmth of togetherness and the hope for a brighter future.
Happy Diwali!
