Keep Rossmoor Safe - Slow your roll to 25 MPH
Hi ,
While much of the Midwest is "enjoying" some severe weather, that will push further east by the weekend, we will see more of those beautiful low to mid 70s days with low 50s over night.
This pattern seems to be holding for at least the next week. Time to enjoy it! Go walk in one of our wonderful parks or along the tree filled streets.
Rossmoor Woman's Club Students of the Month
Los Alamitos High School seniors Hayley Dunn
and Benjamin Pareti were honored by the Rossmoor Woman's Club (RWC) as Student of the Month for February and March respectively. For more information and background on the students, click here
Rossmoor Certified Farmers Market - Thursday
Come on out and
visit the weekly Rossmoor Certified Farmers Market from 4 to 7 on Thursday. There are always good things to eat, fresh produce and interesting venders to shop with. Mostly, it's a great way to hang out with your neighbors.
Run Seal Beach - This Saturday
If you plan on being in Seal Beach on Saturday morning, be aware that traffic is being routed around 2024 Run Seal Beach. Click here or on the map above for more details and the roadways should be back to normal by 11:00 am. Looks like it's gonna be a fun weekend
The Los Alamitos Recreation and the
Community Services Department will host its annual 2-day visual and performing arts exhibition this month.
Join the Los Alamitos community for a weekend full of exciting activities for the entire family. There will be art workshops, face painters, food and merchandise vendors, and live performances. If you would like to submit your art for display and a chance to win prizes, the deadline is March
8th.
And if you aren't ready to contribute to the exhibition this year, go and enjoy, anyways and stimulate some thought-ideas for next year. Definitely a fun family outing, close to home! Click here for more info.
Hugs For Schools & Clubs
It's getting to be that time of the year when our PTA's, Boosters, and Clubs start their spring semester dine-out for donations (or "dining for dollars"). As we get the information we will post if on our HUGs page so you can check if you can help our kids before you go out to eat.
The sunshine is back! After turning your clocks last weekend, you can use the extra daylight to sweep the outdoor areas around your home. Since the storm drain system doesn’t treat water before entering OC’s water ways, ensuring all dirt, debris, and spills are cleaned up can go a long way to prevent stormwater pollution.
This differs from the sanitary sewer system, which does treat water
