Our Rossmoor's Neighborhood Watch Team always monitors what's happening here. And in a nutshell, not much. The public data put out shows that it's the usual:

Suspicious people (our community sees something and says something to law enforcement to check out) Yay us!

Burglaries: (a follow-up post usually indicates that it is a call-out for someone's alarm sounding) - precautionary alerts - another yay us!

Thefts: These are what are usually called "crimes of opportunity". Don't leave valuable things in your car, enticing someone to break in, lock your car doors, and close your garage - nothing says "check out what's in my car" more than "hey the door's open!"

Printed reports tell one story. Follow-ups on the reports make the picture clear. Our OCSD North Patrol is more than law enforcement, they are Our Rossmoor partners. Always willing to share info, the Our Rossmoor NW Team is able to share their insights, in a way that nobody is left wondering:
