Happy 4th of July!
It's a great time to take a moment to reflect on the 7 year battle that our Forefathers waged to free the United States
AFTER they declared their independence from England. The signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776 was the beginning of the fight, not the end. I for one am very pleased they chose that path.
Watch The Heat
There are extreme heat advisories in place for most all of California, except for the very coastal regions, like where we are. That's the good news for us. We still need to be aware and play it safe. The forecast for our area is mid-80s through the end of next week (7/12), but there's a good chance it will get warmer than projected. Plus, we have friends
and relatives that we may go visit that are more inland that we are. The temps there will be in the 90s and 100s - and that's before you get to the desert areas like Palm Desert.
Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are real and are preventable. Here are some of the signs, symptoms and what to do tips. Hydration is key and do try to plan around being outside in the hottest part of the day.
Our Summer Schedule - It's Hot and Booked
Summer is always a bit busy here in Rossmoor and the surrounding communities. Just in the next couple of weeks, there are free live concerts in both Los Al and Seal Beach, the two live Shakespeare plays at Rush Park
tomorrow and Saturday.
Let's get to it!
