On Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m., Music Studios showed off their talent in an end-of-semester performance at Bogart’s Coffee House. From listening to students singing originals to playing various instruments, the show didn’t have a dull moment. The student’s hard work and dedication made for a great night!
While the Music Studios teacher, Ms. Dherlin, helps guide and support students in Music Studios, it is mostly a student-run class. I could clearly see this on stage, and, like many audience members, I could tell that the students have been collaborating together and producing some really great music throughout this fall semester.
“The goal of this performance is that it’s student-driven,” Ms. Dherlin said. “I feel proud to see them step up and not only learn about making music but also about producing music.”
Songs like “Wishing on a Star,” “Keep a Look Out, Santa Claus,” “Snowy Mountain Blues” and “My Love is Gone” are all originals written by the students. Most originals even had a
