After a mostly cloudy Sunday that started off with a little rainy drizzle this morning, we have a change of some more drizzly rain early tomorrow and then a warming trend for the rest of the week. It should be mostly sunny and nice. 

It's a good week to visit the Rossmoor Farmers Market on Thursday afternoon too.

Sweeping on Tuesday....

Because Tuesday is April 1st (and April's Fools Day), sweeping this week will only cover the EVEN addresses on Tuesday. Next Monday (April 7th), the ODD addresses will be swept. So, it's another different sweeping schedule. Please be flexible and move your vehicles on  Tuesday this week for the sweepers. Thanks!

Rossmoor CSD To Review 2025-2026 Budget - Invites Community to Committee Meeting

Nominations for RHA Director are OPEN!

Nominations for the RHA 2025-2027 Director elections are now open. Please complete the short application to let us know if you are interested in joining the RHA Board for a two-year term starting July 1st. The nomination deadline is April 7th.

Our 2025 Nominating Committee (Jody Roubanis, Marian Last & Doug Smith) will contact you and verify you are eligible to be included on this year's ballot.

This quick conversation will also help you determine if being a Director for the RHA is a good fit for you and your time commitments. 

The final ballot will be presented at our April 15th meeting for acceptance by the Board. If there are more qualified nominations than available seats (5 this year), the Association will mail ballots to the membership as of April 15, 2025.

If there are not more than 5 nominations, then by our Bylaws (sec 10.3(c)), the nominees are considered elected by consent.

The 2025-2026 Board will be introduced at the end of our regular June Board meeting. The new Board will elect the officers for the 2025-2026 year and the new Directors and officers take office on July 1, 2025.

Welcome to room 279, (second) home to chemistry teacher Mr. Jones. There are a few beakers with droplets of a mystery chemical left out on back table, a lingering smell of an experiment from his last class and a guinea pig in someone’s arms!

There’s the whiteboard where students doodle and write a new “question of the day”; a counter in the back where a Barbie doll is set up with her own mini lab equipment, including a miniature Bunsen burner (that really works if you connect it to the gas tube!) and look! It’s Mr. Jones, Los Alamitos High School’s 2025 teacher of the year. ...

RHA Director Marian Last Endows The Youth Center

There are a lot of kind and generous people in  Rossmoor. Many give their time, others give their talent and even more give of their treasure. Few though give all three. There are some that do.

We are proud to share with the community that RHA 1st VP Marian Last has endowed The Youth Center which will help the many life changing programs offered to our community to continue to impact future generations.
