Our weather will warm up to the mid 80s this week which will mean warmer nights as well. It's been a fairly cool summer so far, but the projections are that we will have a warmer than average September and October coming up. Good times, right?
Street Sweeping Monday & Tuesday
This week we have our regular sweeping schedule - Monday ODD addresses will be swept and Tuesday the EVEN sides get swept. Please move your vehicles so we can keep the dirt and pollution on our streets out of the ocean at Seal Beach.
Construction continues on the I-605/Katella Avenue Interchange
Project. Here’s what to expect this week:
Temporary closures of on and off ramps, especially at night (9 PM to 5
AM)
Nighttime work for the reconstruction of the center median that is east of the Coyote Creek Channel is expected to continue through the end of
August. Crews will continue concrete work for the curb of the new median.
Crews will continue nighttime vegetation removal until mid-August. Work
will focus on clearing vegetation near the northbound I-605 on-ramp. This will necessitate closing the outside lanes of northbound I-605, as well as the on-ramp, nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting Monday, August 4, through Friday, August 8 (extending into early Saturday morning).

Night work will generally occur between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Message signs will be placed in advance of the closures. Specific details regarding ramp closures will be available in future communications.

RWD's Holiday Home Tour Request
The Rossmoor Woman's Club (RWC) is looking for homes to display on the annual Holiday Home Tour.
Could we entice you to open-up your home, all decked out for the holidays and help local charities at the same
time? The Holiday Home Tour is the club's largest fundraiser. All net proceeds go back to local charities and LAHS senior scholarships.
The Holiday Home Tour is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (note to self: save the date!)
On the day of the event, club members will be stationed in your home as docents, to make sure everything runs smoothly.
We have plenty of time to prepare but the first thing we need to do is identify the homes for the tour so the ticket booklets can go into production this
summer.
