The Rossmoor Community Services District has appointed former Carson City Manager Sharon Landers to the position of General Manager that was vacated by long-term appointee Joe Mendoza when he retired.
Landers is an International City/County Management Association (ICMA) credentialed city manager and the principal of Landers Consulting, where she offers
executive-level strategic guidance and project management for public and private sector entities.
“Working in Rossmoor is a fantastic opportunity to interact with a lovely, engaged community that has a small-town feel where I can really make a difference in the quality of life for the residents,” said Landers.
Landers began her tenure in the new position on
May 19. The Orange County Special District originally offered her a longer-term contract; however, at her request, this was changed to a six-month contract that allows for an extension.
