Curb Address Painting Every three years the RHA has the curb addresses painted for the entire community. That's right, over 3,400 addresses are hand painted by Curbrite Addressing. The Curbrite team will be starting this week at
the north end of the tract. The project should take about 4 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The Youth Center's Casino Night Each year, The Youth Center holds their One Grand Project which provides a significant amount of funding for their programming throughout the year. The funds provide the programs and scholarships for the youth right
here in our area. Please consider making a contribution to The Youth Center today One Grand Project Chair, Kirstin DiMiceli and The Youth Center Team invite you to the Boots, Buckles
& Big Hearts Casino Night on Saturday, March 28th at Rush Park. It's super close to home, sponsored by the RCSD, and the tickets are just $75 each.
Pickleball Court Rules & Guidelines
The RCSD is remining all pickleball players of the court rules and courteous behavior guidelines that are in place to help keep the park and surrounding areas safe and enjoyable for everyone. It's important to note the court hours and to
limit the noise while on the courts. Respect is a key component of a great community.
New Rossmoor Park Canopy Now Available!
The Rossmoor Park Canopy is now taking reservations. This beautiful shade canopy is great for groups who want to celebrate, BBQ or just hang out for a few hours. You can make reservations through the RCSD reservations webpage. Six Years! That’s how long Rossmoor waited for this particular patch of shade.
This week, the Rossmoor Park canopy was officially dedicated, marking the completion of the District’s Prop 68 capital improvement project. It may look like a simple structure—22 by 32 feet of concrete, mesh, and metal picnic tables and BBQs—but it represents years of planning, grant funding, and steady
follow-through. There’s something beautifully ironic about it. In a community famous for its 5,000-tree “urban forest,” we still needed a place to gather out of the sun. And now we have one.
The ribbon was cut. The cake said “Shade At Last.” Neighbors gathered. The RHA hosted the first official reservation under the new canopy. And just like that, Rossmoor gained a new anchor point for birthday parties, team celebrations, scout meetings, and lazy summer afternoons.
The bigger story behind the canopy—the grant, the partnership, and why something as simple as shade actually matters more than we think—is worth a few minutes of your time.

Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. This year Ramadan in the United States started about Tuesday, February 17th and continues for 29 or 30 days, until about Thursday, March 19th. The official start and end are confirmed by the sighting of the crescent moon (hilal) by local religious authorities. During Ramadan, from dawn to sunset Muslims abstain from food and drink to increase God consciousness. They abstain from things that are normally allowed in order to build self discipline to abstain from things that are always harmful. It is a time to increase gratitude, charity, prayer, familial and community relationships and to help and increase empathy for the less fortunate all while seeking God's acceptance in our words and actions. The good habits and
closeness to God developed during Ramadan should be maintained throughout the year. Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Ramadan.
Ahead of the game: LAHS baseball prepares to win a CIF title for 2026LAHS baseball heads into another exciting season looking to bring a CIF title home, with several returning seniors to varsity
and new coaches to the team. Griffin Gazette Staff Writer Ella Suos previews the Griffin's spring 2026 season that is full of high hopes and title dreams.
As the 2026 spring season for Los Alamitos High School Baseball continues, prospects of winning a CIF title are looking up with this year’s winning roster. Their commitment throughout the off-season’s demanding work, keeping one another accountable through tough times and putting in the hard yards as a team proves itself with each
passing game. “Off-season’s been outstanding. The guys have really bought into the program and dedicated themselves on a daily basis to all the work they’re doing in the field, in the weight room and with fundraising. Some team leaders have really established themselves to get everyone on the same page,” said Cameron Chinn, head coach of the LAHS varsity team. During the off-season, the team focused on defensive drills, along with new plays on offence. Becoming familiarized with the players and each of their playing styles was also a priority for the new coaches during the off-season; this helped lay the stepping stones and base for the team coming into season. The varsity
lineup in a scrimmage played between the varsity and junior varsity players. (Joshua Lopez Hernandez) When asked which teammate or coach they think has become a leading inspiration for the team, varsity players Kaden Turner, Matthew Leer and Christian Cruz shouted out several different people. “I would like to shout out Parker Sanchez, as he has stepped into a big role this season, and has become a great leader on the field. I would also like to shout out Jerry Garfiaz for his ability to hold us to such a high standard on and off the field. Both of these players have such a good work ethic, and really have the ability to bring us up as a whole,” Leer said. “As a team, we lean on Rowan Shelley, Fresno State commit, as he has shaped into a leadership role on our team. For the season, he is one to watch out for to make each game exciting and full of energy. Cruz D’Errico has been a strong part of our preseason team. Even with his quiet demeanour, he continues to rack up hits and keeps... Click for the rest of the story...
