It’s that time of the year for the 9th Annual RHA Christmas Lights Celebration, and we are so grateful for every fuse you replace and icicle light hung!
UPDATE:
We
already have more than 20 homes entered -
Let's make this the biggest contest ever!
Also, new for this year is a chance for Christmas travelers to vote for their favorite house. Attendees of the
Rossmoor WinterFest on Dec. 11 in Rush Park will be given a map with home participants, and they will be able to select the Rossmoor dwelling that best represents the Christmas holidays.
Now is the time to sign up your house (or your neighbor’s house), so we can identify all the enchanting lights in the neighborhood and create the Rossmoor Hot Spots Map. This is the 9th year the RHA has organized the special Christmas
Lights Celebration event with previous recognition names like:
- Good Neighbor Award
- Griswold Award
- Silent Night Award
- Winter Wonderland Award
- Jurassic Christmas
Award
- just to name a few.
We do it so the families can travel throughout Rossmoor and know where to be enamored in the Christmas spirit. Not just homes - even streets like Woodstock Road, get into the action.
Sign up by sending your home address, name, email address and phone number to
Rossmoorlights@gmail.com. Or you can call Chris Marshall at 562-370-3050 to
enter.
In addition to the WinterFest votes, RHA judging for all the recognition awards will take place the weekend of Dec. 12, with home write-ups and the Rossmoor Hot Spots Map going live later that week on the RHA website.
Planning ahead, next year will be the 10-year anniversary of the Christmas Lights Celebration, and the RHA is looking for volunteers to help coordinate the celebration. Please contact
Chris Marshall if you’re also obsessed with the holiday and can help!
Whether you’re decorating your lawn with 20,000 lights or a simple Holiday Light Post, it’s that time of year to soak in the Christmas spirit and celebrate with your neighbors!
