Hi
With less than two weeks left before Thanksgiving and the kick off of the "official" holiday season (only 43 more
shopping days before Christmas),
We are looking for some residents to help us with our Christmas Lights Celebration. Primarily we need some writers who can hep describe the wonderful entries we receive. This is fun writing where you get to tell
the story of the scene. If you are a "fun writer" please reply to this email and we will let you know the next steps.
Town Hall Conversation Series Our November Town Hall Conversation will be held on Tuesday, November
15 at Rossmoor Park with our guest from the California Highway Patrol who will highlight the CHP and how they serve Rossmoor. The conversation starts at 7:00 p.m.

Future Town Hall Conversations will include discussions with Supervisor Steel, the OCSD, and the RCSD. If you would like for us to schedule a specific topic for a future RHA Mini-Town Hall meeting, please let us know by calling 562.799.1401 or via our website

Remember the Rossmoor homes that had Santa’s sleigh and reindeer flying over the street from one house to another? Or the huge 15’ lighted Christmas tree that you could see across Rush Park? Remember the luminaries that somehow stayed lit at the entrance of Rossmoor Way, or large palm trees on the corner that were wrapped with lights to the top? Those were all
great memories driving around during Christmas past in Rossmoor.
In 2007 we started to honor the homes that take the time to create these wonderful memories for all to share. The Rossmoor Christmas Lights Celebration has become an annual tradition. And the tradition continues to grow and form new memories. Which homes and decorations will you remember
from this year?
The Christmas Elves begin to descend upon Rossmoor shortly after Thanksgiving and leave a Winter Wonderland for all of us to enjoy (even though they keep forgetting the snow). So, keep your eye out for the more than 30 homes that jump in each year all over the Rossmoor Neighborhood.

Coyote sightings in Rossmoor have been fluctuating over the past month and we have not had any pet losses reported. Thank you for your reports and the steps you've taken to make Rossmoor a less desirable place for coyotes to frequent.
Please continue to be careful
with your pets (keep them indoors or within your sight, and NO NOT leave pet food outside after feeding time).
Our Rossmoor Wildlife Watch program is continuing to collect reports and monitoring coyote behavior and movement based on these reports. Please do continue to report any coyote activity on the Rossmoor Wildlife Watch website.
If you would like to find out more about our Rossmoor Wildlife Watch program and discover what we are doing, please sign up for more information.
The coyote challenge we face here in Rossmoor and throughout Southern California does not have a magical "fix it" solution. It will take a community effort (that's you and me, not "them") to keep our pets safe and reduce the risks in our neighborhood. Please learn what you can do at your home and for everyone in Rossmoor.

Rossmoor resident Bernie Beskind coordinates the weekly Rossmoor Walk & Talk meeting at Rush
Park on Tuesday mornings at 10:30. That is unless it's raining, then there's no walk.
The program is simple enough, whoever attends forms groups of 2-4 people and walk around Rush Park and they talk. How long they walk, how fast they walk, and what they talk about is up to them. If you need a topic to talk about, Bernie will be
happy to help you out. It's a real Win-Win Bernie's idea creates an informal way to meet your neighbors and get some exercise at the same time. It could save or at
least extend your life, plus you'll get to meet some really great people. And that is a huge win-win. Come join us! The Rossmoor Walk & Talk is open to all ages. The more the merrier - Invite your friends and please spread the word. Rossmoor Walk & Talk meets are held every Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Rush Park. If you have questions, please email Bernie (BernieB_90720@yahoo.com), or come see him on Tuesdays at 10:30 at Rush Park. Bernie will be the energetic guy with glasses, short hair, long in years and walking slowly.
