We hope you are enjoying your nice and cool weekend. A little power blip hit Rossmoor this morning. A gental reminder of why being prepared is so important. What if instead of an hour, it was 6 hours? A day? 5 days? How you you and your family cope?

Scholarship Award Recipients

The recipients of this year’s RHA Scholarship Awards were two Los Alamitos High School seniors, Natalie Petersen and Nyssa Yota. Their winning scores were determined by a combination of their GPA, on campus activities, off campus activities, and the submission of an essay answering the question of how to make Rossmoor an even better place to live. Both Natalie and Nyssa were presented checks for $2,000.00 during the Los Alamitos High School Senior Awards Night and a plague for their accomplishments at the May RHA board meeting.

Bicycle Safety Concerns

There have been a number of our neighbors who have shared their concerns about bike riders on Rossmoor streets ignoring stop signs and riding too quickly through the many uncontrolled intersections in the tract. Their concern is for rider safety.

Riders, please ride smart and be safe. No one wants an accident. Drivers, share the road and watch for cyclists and pedestrians (especially the younger ones who are now out of school for the summer).

Street Sweeping - Monday June 17th, please remove your vehicles and trash cans from the streets of Rossmoor. Thanks!

Music & Movies in the Park - Friday 6/28 - 6:00 p.m. Rush Park
RCSD Board Meeting - Tuesday 7/9 - 7:00 p.m. Rush Park Aud.
RHA Board Meeting - Tuesday 7/16 - 7:00 p.m. Rossmoor Park
Music & Movies in the Park - Friday 7/19 - 6:00 p.m. Rush Park
Music & Movies in the Park - Friday 8/9 - 6:00 p.m. Rush Park

And of course, the weekly Rossmoor Walk &Talk which has now expanded to Monday, Wednesday,Thursday and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. with Tuesday mornings remaining at the 10:30 a.m. start time. We meet near the playground at Rush Park when it's not raining.
