The heat continues but should subside some by the end of this week.Be smart when you are outside and protect yourself.

School Is Starting this week

School starts throughout the district on Wednesday (Weaver is already in session), please be more attentive as you drive through Rossmoor, especially in the mornings when traffic will be heavier and there will be more children out and about. Be safe. Slow down a bit. And plan that it will take longer to get to where you are going. Everyone will thank you and you will be more relaxed too.

2019 National Night Out

National Night Out - Los Alamitos - August 6

This year's National Night Out (NNO) is on August 6th starting at 5:00 p.m.

That's tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon - come out and join the fun in Los Alamitos will hold their event at Little Cottonwood Park (4000 Farquhar Avenue) and the RHA will be there along with West County CERT and the RCSD.

The NNO program will end around 8:00 p.m. and will feature family entertainment, food trucks, city information booths, and an opportunity to meet the first responders who are likely to come to your door in an emergency.

It's always a fun event and this year it will be smaller. Come out and enjoy the evening.

RCSD Board Meeting - Tuesday 8/13 - 7:00 p.m. Rush Park Aud.
Street Sweeping - Monday August 19th, please remove your vehicles and trash cans from the streets of Rossmoor. Thanks!
RHA Board Meeting - Tuesday 8/20 - 7:00 p.m. Rossmoor Park

And of course, the weekly Rossmoor Walk &Talk which has now expanded to Monday, Wednesday,Thursday and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. with Tuesday mornings remaining at the 10:30 a.m. start time. We meet near the playground at Rush Park when it's not raining.

Bicycle Safety Concerns

There have been a number of our neighbors who have shared their concerns about bike riders on Rossmoor streets ignoring stop signs and riding too quickly through the many uncontrolled intersections in the tract. Their concern is for rider safety.

Riders, please ride smart and be safe. No one wants an accident. Drivers, share the road and watch for cyclists and pedestrians (especially the younger ones who are now out of school for the summer).
