Hi
Tuesday looks to be a very rainy day for the majority of Southern California. Remember to allow yourself more time to get from here to there and increase the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Arbor Day - This Saturday
It's a celebration with prizes and give-aways at Rush Park this Saturday March 14th from 10:00 - 1:00. And I hear you saying "Great, but what are we celebrating?"
We are celebrating the wonderful urban forest we have here in Rossmoor. The RCSD is throwing the party for the whole neighborhood. Games for the kids, prizes, exhibits, and a tree tour are all part of the planned events. It should be a great fun day at Rush. Come join in the fun. Hope to see you there!
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update:
One of our priorities is your safety and the welfare of our neighborhood. While the Coronavirus outbreak evolves daily on a global scale, local health officials are encouraging preparedness, and understanding what you can do to best protect yourself.
As the virus continues to spread it is important to understand how to mitigate, or reduce the risk of infection, and to continue to be prepared for any and all types of disasters for 3-7 days and longer if possible. We as a community can take action and be better prepared to reduce the likelihood of infection by understanding what can be done to minimize infection, and taking
steps to be better prepared.
As a reminder, the CDC always recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including:
- Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
It's important to take these precautions for ourselves and our family members.
