The Rossmoor Homeowners Association is wondering how it could possibly help our community through the current viral pandemic and wants to hear from you on any ideas that might benefit Rossmoor as a whole or any of our 3,600 households.
As I walk each evening through our community, I am astounded by the changes I see. I have stopped to chat with construction executives who are painting their house, engineers who are up on their roofs, federal investigators who are sitting on a park bench, Veteran Administration doctors who are taking out their trash and just a lot other people walking around for the first time in years.
I think the community as a whole is handling these dark days quite well. But that judgment comes at a distance. There are undoubtedly people in distress.
The RHA does not have a supply of face masks to hand out. We don't have antiseptic wipes that none of us can find. We don't have a trillion dollar stimulus to offer. And we only have a dozen volunteers who are already working hard to keep the organization going with its traditional tasks.
I certainly do not want RHA to do something meaningless just so the organization can say we did something. But we are ready to jump in if there is a need and we can help address it. I think the community is the be place to find out what that need is.
We are happy to partner with any groups, organizations or individuals. We do have an effective communication tool in our email lists. And we do have contacts with law enforcement, the county supervisor and many others in the community.
So please send us your suggestions and ideas. We are actively talking among ourselves about actions we might take. You can reply to this email or send a personal note to
