Hi
Other than the smoke from our local fires, the weekend weather was nice. We should get some on shore breezes over the next couple of days to blow the smoke out. That is of course if we don't get any more fires started. We will warm up over the next couple of days and then cool off into the upper 70's by next weekend. Overall, a pleasant week ahead weather
wise.
Street Sweepers
Yes, it is the second Monday which is not the normal sweeper day. However, last week was Labor Day, so the sweepers will be here tomorrow all day. Please move your vehicles and trash cans from the streets so they can get cleaned. Thanks!
Rossmoor Red Cross Blood Drive
The RHA and RCSD are teaming up to bring a Red Cross blood drive to Rush Park on Friday October 2nd from 10-4:00 p.m. You can get more info and where to register from our site here. The Red Cross expects this
event to fill up rather quickly. If you want to support the Red Cross and donate your blood to save a life, please sign up today.
Meet Your Candidates Night
As you are no doubt aware, we have an election coming up in November. Our ballots will arrive sometime in October.
Before those ballots arrive, we will have our Meet the Candidates Town Hall. This year's format will be a bit different as it will be virtual and aired live on LA TV3 and streamed on social media. Tuesday September 29th at 7:00 p.m. and we will get you more details on how you can watch
in the coming weeks.
We have invited the candidates for Congressional District 47 (John Briscoe, Alan Lowenthal), State Assembly District 72 (Diedre Nguyen and Janet Nguyen), Los Alamitos School Trustee, Area 2 candidates (Chris Forehan, Jody Roubanis, Paurvi Trivedi) and the RCSD Board of Directors candidates
(Jeff Barke, Joyce Bloom, Tony DeMarco, Michael Maynard, Nathan Searles) to attend and share with us why we should support them as our elected officials. And of course answer some questions about their plans should they be elected.
Have questions for our candidates?
