[rha ] Sunday Morning B-Day Celebration, Vector Control Questions, Oct Events.

Tomorrow morning, Sunday October 11th, the neighborhood is going to celebrate one of our very dearest neighbors 85th birthday. Shhhhhhh It's a surprise!

If you have been around Rossmoor for any length of time, you likely know GeorgLyn Seligman as she has volunteered for decades with Boy Scout Troop 658, the Rossmoor Woman's Club, at the library, and with many other groups and organizations. If you don't know GeorgLyn, then you have likely seen her walking through the neighborhood. She is the kind and spirited almost 5 foot lady who walks everywhere from her home. To the Shops at Rossmoor and library to Los AL High School and all point in between. And if she's not walking there, she will catch the bus. She's truly amazing.

Anyway, at 9:35 tomorrow morning we'd like to invite you to the corner of Piedmont and Wembley for a parade to honor GeorgLyn and celebrate her milestone birthday. Troop 658 has organized this celebration parade and it promises to be a lot of safe and distant fun.

Decorate your car, bring signs however you want to celebrate and line up at the corner of Piedmont and Wembley in Rossmoor behind Gloria Ginaven's Blue Prius which will have an Identifying Flag on it. Gloria will lead the parade around the block twice. Be sure to Honk down GeorgLyn's street and in front of her house and make LOTS of NOISE. She will be so touched by the parade. Vector & Mosquito Control Questions?

Since the OC Vector & Mosquito Control District (OCVMCD)sent out the West Nile Virus warning last month, there have been a number of conversations around various Facebook and other social media platforms. The RHA has reached out to the District and the Vice-President of the OCVMCD Board of Trustees, Mike Posey, has attend our regular Board meeting on October 20th at 7:00 p.m. to answer our questions.

In the interest of safety, our meeting will be via Zoom, but you can still participate by submitting your questions for Mike and the District here.

And then we have events!

First, the RCSD is holding the first Rush Park Drive-In movie night on Friday 10/30 and the next morning the RHA's document shredding event is from 8:00 a.m. to noon or when the truck is full. Details on both events below.

Rossmoor Blood Drive Scheduled for November!

With the success of our Rossmoor Red Cross Blood Drive this past Friday, we have scheduled a November drive on Tuesday November 17th, kicking off at 10:00 a.m. Our last event filled up fairly quickly, so make sure that you go reserve your space right away: OurRossmoor.com Blood Drive.
