Hi
It looks like we are in for a warm week with temps pushing into the 90's almost every day. Take good care to stay protected from the sun and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and healthy.
Annual International ShakeOut Day
International ShakeOut Day this year is on Thursday, October 15. Everyone, everywhere should know how to protect themselves during an earthquake! Thus, anyone can participate -ShakeOut is for everyone.
Please hold your #ShakeOut drill where you want and try to include people in multiple locations (home, work, or school), perhaps through video conferencing. It's actually a good idea to practice earthquake safety in different situations each year. Take with your family members and make sure they know what to do when the next earthquake occurs (drop/cover hold on
to start with).
Do You Have Questions About Mosquitoes?
Since the OC Vector & Mosquito Control District (OCVMCD)sent out the West Nile Virus warning last month, there have been a number of conversations around various Facebook and other social media platforms.
The RHA has reached out to the District and the Vice-President of the OCVMCD Board of Trustees, Mike Posey, has attend our regular Board meeting on October 20th at 7:00 p.m. to give a brief presentation and answer our questions.
We plan to post a recording of the presentation to the OurRossmoor site following the meeting. If you'd like to attend the meeting live, please reply to this email and we will send you an invite link.
And we have October events!
And on Halloween morning the RHA's is hosting a Document Shredding Event at Rush Park from 8:00 a.m. to noon or when the truck is full. Details on both events below.
