This little heat wave we're having should break by the weekend and we should have a comfortable weekend and early next week. It's a great time to safely get outside and into the fresh air and sunshine.

Hocus Pocus at Rush Park Drive In

On Friday October 30th, the RCSD is hosting a Drive In movie night at Rush Park. Yes you will be able to drive into Rush Park as park on the grass to watch Hocus Pocus. A great family evening at the park. Get your tickets here.

The Youth Center Shoe Drive

The Youth Center in Los Alamitos is collecting gently worn, used and new shoes as a fun fundraiser. The Youth Center provides the after school program at Rossmoor Park and provide many services for our military and local families in need. If you happen to have shoes that you are willing to part with, please see the details below. November 3rd is the last day to drop shoes off at the Youth Center. Details below.

Still looking for your mosquito questions

The RHA will host the Vector & Mosquito District Board of Trustees Vice-President Mike Posey at our regular Board meeting on October 20th at 7:00 p.m. to give a brief presentation and answer our questions.

Our meeting will be via Zoom, but you can still participate by submitting your questions for Mike and the District here.

We plan to post a recording of the presentation to the OurRossmoor site following the meeting. If you'd like to attend the meeting live, please reply to this email and we will send you an invite link.

October Document Shredding!

Halloween morning (10/31) the RHA's is hosting a Document Shredding Event at Rush Park from 8:00 a.m. to noon or when the truck is full. There is a 3 banker box per vehicle limit. Additional details below and on our site.

ShakeOut 2020 - Thursday

We had a few comments about this year's ShakeOut event.

The importance of the event is to get you thinking about being more ready for when the next larger earthquake strikes our area. And they will come our way.

It's worth taking a little bit of time to talk with your family about what to do, where you'd meet if you get separated, and what will you need if there's no power or water for 3,4,5 days or even longer?

Rossmoor Blood Drive Scheduled for November!

With the success of our Rossmoor Red Cross Blood Drive this past Friday, we have scheduled a November drive on Tuesday November 17th, kicking off at 10:00 a.m. Our last event filled up fairly quickly, so make sure that you go reserve your space right away: OurRossmoor.com Blood Drive.
