Rain seems to be the topic of discussion for the next week weather-wise. We should have some of the wet stuff all weekend and into Monday, followed by more on Thursday. Stay dry out there.

COVID-19 Vaccines

Orange County residents interested in getting the COVID vaccine, should check the County's website for the latest information.

The long and short of it seems to be go to the Othena website and register to be notified when your tier us up to be vaccinated. Some of you may be eligible now, they are just struggling to get enough vaccines. The rest of us who want to get the vaccine can register and you will be notified.

Rossmoor Traffic Committee Update

The Rossmoor Traffic Committee met at Rush Park on Thursday evening to discuss the traffic issues in Rossmoor and get some updates on where we are with possible solutions.

The Committee is made up of two RCSD Directors (Tony DeMarco and Jeff Barke) two RHA Directors (Ralph Vartabedian and Frank Facey) a member of the Los Al Unified School District (Dr. Jerry Friedman LAUSD Director, Safety & Student Services) along with two Rossmoor residents.

Speeding is still a major issue here in Rossmoor and ways to mitigate it are being considered in addition to more education and enforcement by the CHP

In addition to speeding, a number of other traffic issues were discussed and some progress has been made over the past month with larger stop signs being installed and plans to trim or remove tress which reduce visibility of stop signs in place.

Our Rossmoor Shredding Event - Delayed

Due to the COVID situation and the projected increase of new cases in mid-January, we have delayed our January Shredding event until the last Saturday in February, 2/27 from 8:00 a.m. to Noon or when the truck is full.

Look for updates in the coming weeks. Thanks for being flexible - we will get your documents shredded.
