Hi
Happy Sunday to you
The week ahead looks like it will be warm and sunny with temperatures around 80 for the week.
All of this fun-tastic weather makes it easy for us to get out and enjoy some fresh air and get our natural allotment of vitamin D. It also is a reminder that we haven't had much rain this year and many of our mountain recreation areas are tinderboxes ready to explode with fire. If you do get out of town, please be extra careful and stay safe.
Rossmoor Fiction Writing Contest
We are starting to get entries for this year's fiction writing contest. We are about 3 weeks out from the August 1st entry deadline. You still have time to out your 1,000 word short story centered on or about Rossmoor. All the details are
here. Come on and let your creative side out. You could win part of the $450 in prizes.
Governor asks Californians to Conserve Water
As a follow up to the water shortage we mentioned a few weeks ago, Governor Newsom as asked all Californian's to reduce water consumption by 15% to help avoid more drastic and mandatory water rationing later in the year. Trimming 15% is usually not all that difficult. Skip a day or two of lawn watering each week, shorter showers, and running full loads of laundry
may do it for your home. Anything you can do to conserve water is helpful and when everyone does a little, we can make a big difference. Thanks.
Sweepers here on Monday
Just another quick reminder that the sweepers will be here tomorrow to clean out our gutters. Please move your vehicles off the streets in Rossmoor. There won't be any enforcement, and still it helps us all when we do the right thing and clear the streets.
